Everlite – Plug Into the Sun

April 7, 2009

It is with great pleasure that we announce the support of Everlite with our thru-hiking expedition!

Tired of running out of juice in your headlamp three days into a weeklong trip? Thanks to an integrated solar panel, the Everlite Solar Headlamp banishes those pesky disposable batteries forever.

The 5pcs bright white LEDs in this solar-rechargeable Headlamp run all night long with only 6 hours of full sun charging.  The LED sequencing switch provides different operating modes – bright, photocell (for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation), dim and blinking.  There is also a charge indicator for the powerful lithium battery, so you’re never left in the dark without advance warning.  The LEDs switch off periodically as the battery runs low, so you’re never left in total darkness without any warning.  You  also have optional 12V or USB adapters for charging cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, GPS locators, digital cameras and other hand-held electronics using power from the Headlamp and/or directly from the solar panel itself.

This headlamp comes with a 2.5 x 4.5-inch solar panel that quickly charges the small lithium ion battery; six hours in the sun = 12 hours on high and up to 24 hours on low or flash modes. At only 5 ounces for the headlamp and panel, the Everlite Solar Headlamp is the obvious choice for extended trips and light-and-fast endeavors.

The bottom line is this: The Everlite Solar Headlamp lightens your pack as well as our landfills. Love the renewable energy!
